Lincoln, Neb. --- The Nebraska football team worked out in half-pads Sunday at the Cook Pavilion in its final practice in Lincoln before traveling to San Antonio, Texas, to take on Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29. The game is set for an 8 p.m. kickoff and will be seen on ESPN.

With the first semester and graduation now finished, interim head coach Bo Pelini was pleased with the Huskers' last practice in Lincoln.

"We had a good practice today, everything went like it should," Pelini said. "There was a solid tempo throughout practice and everyone competed hard. It was a good last practice here, and we were able to accomplish the things we needed to get done."

Nebraska will be off the rest of the day Sunday and Monday to spend time with family and friends for the holidays. The Huskers will then prepare to head south on Tuesday, Dec. 23, departing at 11 a.m. and arriving in San Antonio at approximately 1 p.m.
