2003: A four-year letterwinner, Cheryl Harmon earned Third-Team Academic All-America honors... graduated in May 2003 with a degree in communication studies.

2002: During the 2002 outdoor season, Harmon had a great meet at the Nebraska Triangular, running her season-best time in the 200-meter with time of 24.67 and a time of 56.19 in the 400-meter dash? competed on 4x200 relay and the 4x400 relays, the latter of which placed fourth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and set a provisional qualifying time of 3:38.05... during the indoor season she ran 24.96 in the 200-meter dash at Big 12 Championships and the Prairie Wolf Invitational? in the 400-meter dash, Harmon ran 56.32 in the prelims at the Big 12 Championships, and finished eighth in the finals... she was also on the 4x400 that finished sixth at the Big 12 Championships.

2001: Redshirted following fall surgery to repair a torn ACL.

2000: Earned her first All-America honor as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed sixth (3:35.07) at the NCAA indoor meet... also ran legs on the 4x400-meter relay team that placed second at Big 12 indoors and third at Big 12 outdoors... posted personal-best 400-meter times both indoors (55.49) and outdoors (54.73).

1999: Was a member of NU?s 4x400-meter relay team that placed ninth (3:37.33) at the NCAA Indoor Championships... was fifth in the 600-yard run at the Big 12 indoor meet with a personal-best time of 1:23.60... also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed second (3:40.29) at the Big 12 indoor meet... ran a personal-best time of 24.31 in the 200 meters at the Jim Click Shootout, the best mark by a Husker during the outdoor season... ran 54.92 in the 400 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays... missed the end of the outdoor season (including the Big 12 Championships) with a pulled hamstring.

High School: Was the 1998 Wyoming Class 4A state champion in the 400 meters (56.62), 800 meters (2:16.58) and was runner-up in the 100 meters (12.41) and the 200 meters (24.2)... anchored the 1997 Class 4A state record-breaking 4x400-meter relay team... also won the 400 and 800 meters at the state meet... 1997 junior All-American in the 400 meters with a seventh-place finish at the USATF Junior National Championships... 1997 Wyoming Female Athlete of the Year.

Personal: High school coach was Chuck Giesenhagen... major is communication studies... has sung the national anthem at many sporting events and is a concert pianist... parents are Roger and Maxine Harmon... born Sept. 24, 1979.
