The current U.S. National Team members automatically qualify for competition. The competition field was then rounded out by adding up to 12 competitiors from the 2012 NCAA Championships and the 14 selections from the U.S. Men's National Qualifier.

The remaining positions were filled using selections from the U.S. Men's National Qualifier, allowing Schryver to qualify for the Visa Championships. Schryver finished 15th at the Qualifier and was awarded a position at the Championships on an at-large basis.

The 2012 Visa Championships will serve to determine the qualifiers for the U.S. Olympic Trials on June 28-July 1 in San Jose, Calif. Tickets are currently available for both the National Championships and the Olympic Trials.
