for Exclusive Live Online Video Service
Nebraska Huskers Launch State-of-the-Art Video Portal Free to Fans
Plainview, NY – April 7, 2009 – NeuLion (TSX:JTV) and the University of Nebraska announce the debut of a grand slam new video service dedicated to Nebraska Huskers baseball. Beginning today this online service will air all home baseball games free to fans through the rest of this season.
The online destination showcases a sleek look and feel and delivers the most complete and comprehensive video coverage of Nebraska baseball. Huskers.com is the single destination for Nebraska baseball fans to watch live games with all the best content and features in one central location.
In October 2008, JumpTV and NeuLion merged to form one end-to-end multi-platform enterprise. NeuLion has proven experience in the professional sports marketplace with notable partners such as the National Hockey League, National Football League, United Soccer League and many others. The University of Nebraska is the first JumpTV Collegiate Partner to use NeuLion technology. Nebraska, in conjunction with NeuLion, will offer exclusive free live video streams of all home baseball games through HuskerVision, the athletic department’s television production group.
“This new video player will be exciting for our fans,” Nebraska Baseball Coach Mike Anderson said. “It ties many of the features they enjoy into one package which only enhances the experience of following our home games.”
The online service gives fans an incredible interactive experience with features such as polling, integrated ticker, live stats with animated field view and player profile data. Fans will have easy access to past television game video, archive highlights of all games, ongoing live game radio or video in one single view.
The video portal will carry all home baseball games throughout 2009, both live and on demand, including those that are a part of the local television broadcast schedule.
“In our continued efforts to provide fans with higher standards in presentation of games, NeuLion’s technology offers an enhanced viewer experience through top quality video, interactive live games, community features and much more. It allows fans to experience collegiate baseball like never before. It’s a home run for Nebraska,” said Chris Wagner, Executive Vice President of NeuLion.
NeuLion also supports advertising and sponsorship placement in the Nebraska baseball video portal.
The video portal’s launch coincides with tonight’s game against Creighton University. Visit www.huskers.com to catch all the action live!
