Redshirt freshman Trevor Neemann is hoping to battle for playing time this fall on a talented Blackshirt defense. The defensive end saw the field for the first time in the 2004 spring game. He made the most of his opportunity when he recorded a sack in the fourth quarter for a two-yard loss.
Neemann redshirted during his first year as Husker.
Before Nebraska (Lincoln Southeast)
Before becoming a Husker, Neemann was part of the storied tradition at Lincoln Southeast High School. Neemann was a member of the Knights’ 2000 state championship team, a squad that lost just two games in three years. At Southeast, Neemann played alongside present Huskers Barrett and Bo Ruud, Dane Todd and Brandon Rigoni. Neemann played three positions in high school (defensive end, tight end and offensive guard) and was named to all-state and super-state teams during his junior and senior years. He was also a member of the honor roll all four years.
The son of Terry and Chris Neemann, Trevor was born April 1, 1984, in Lincoln. He has one two brothers, Travis, 22, and Trent, 17. Trevor is a business administration major.
