2008-09 Season Outlook

Courtney Jolly enters her senior season as the team’s diving leader. After finishing in the top-five in almost every event she entered last season, Jolly will look to add to her 12 career dual victories and her six top-10  Big 12 finishes in 2008-09. Jolly will anchor the diving squad once again this year, and will also look to make a splash on the national scene after qualifying for the NCAA Zone Diving meet the past two seasons.

2007-08 (Junior)

Jolly had an outstanding junior season, finishing in the top five in both the one meter and three meter in all nine Nebraska duals. Jolly had seven first-place finishes on the season, including a pair of top finishes in the one meter and three meter at the six-team Husker Invitational. After placing seventh (one meter) and ninth (three meter) at the Big 12 Championships as a sophomore, Jolly finished fifth in both events as a junior. She also took home third place on the platform with a career-best mark (224.25). Jolly advanced to the NCAA Zone Diving meet for the second straight year, where she finished 12th in the three meter, 13th on the platform and 14th in the one meter.

2006-07 (Sophomore)

Jolly had a standout year for the Nebraska diving squad, winning the one meter three times and the three meter twice, all in head-to-head Big 12 meets. She continued to dive strong against the conference at the Big 12 Championships, qualifying for the finals and finishing seventh on the one meter and eighth on the platform to advance to the NCAA Zone Diving meet in Austin, Texas. In the regional competition, Jolly reached the top 10 on the one meter, finishing 10th with a score of 461.75, while placing 16th on the three meter with a total of 470.60.

2005-06 (Redshirt Freshman)

Jolly was a strong addition to the diving team and was a top diver for the Huskers in her first year of competition. Jolly produced NCAA provisional-qualifying scores on both the one- and three-meter dives while earning runner-up honors three times, once on the three meter and twice on the one meter. She was scheduled to compete on the platform at the Big 12 Championships, but was unable to participate after she suffered an injury early in the meet.

2004-05 (Freshman)

Jolly was forced to sit out her freshman season after suffering a back injury before the start of the 2004-05 campaign.

Jolly was a district runner-up in 2001 and 2002 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Plantation, Fla. She finished sixth in 2001 and fifth in 2002 in the one-meter competition at state. Jolly was also a U.S. Zones qualifier.
