2008-09 Season Outlook
Courtney Jolly enters her senior season as the team’s diving leader. After finishing in the top-five in almost every event she entered last season, Jolly will look to add to her 12 career dual victories and her six top-10 Big 12 finishes in 2008-09. Jolly will anchor the diving squad once again this year, and will also look to make a splash on the national scene after qualifying for the NCAA Zone Diving meet the past two seasons.
Jolly had an outstanding junior season, finishing in the top five in both the one meter and three meter in all nine Nebraska duals. Jolly had seven first-place finishes on the season, including a pair of top finishes in the one meter and three meter at the six-team Husker Invitational. After placing seventh (one meter) and ninth (three meter) at the Big 12 Championships as a sophomore, Jolly finished fifth in both events as a junior. She also took home third place on the platform with a career-best mark (224.25). Jolly advanced to the NCAA Zone Diving meet for the second straight year, where she finished 12th in the three meter, 13th on the platform and 14th in the one meter.
Jolly had a standout year for
the Nebraska diving squad, winning the one meter three times and the three
meter twice, all in head-to-head Big 12 meets. She continued to dive strong
against the conference at the Big 12 Championships, qualifying for the finals
and finishing seventh on the one meter and eighth on the platform to advance to
the NCAA Zone Diving meet in

She was scheduled to compete on the platform at the Big 12 Championships, but was unable to participate after she suffered an injury early in the meet.
