The Nebraska rifle team will compete for the Great American Rifle Conference Championships this weekend in Oxford, Miss.
Individual competition will take place on Friday and Saturday, and team competition will occur on Saturday and Sunday.
“We are excited to travel to the conference championships this weekend,” Coach Underwood said. “Over the past six months we have trained hard to be ready for this last month of our season; we are right on track to be where we want performance wise.”
The Huskers are coming off another record-breaking performance. Nebraska fired a school-record 2,351 points in air rifle at the NCAA Qualifiers on Feb. 23. The team finished second in the seven-team event with a team total of 4,678, falling only to top-ranked West Virginia.
