Sophomore (1993-94)
Dina Haselip (pronounced DEENA HAY-slip) joined fellow Oregonian Lis Brenden on the Husker roster. Haselip, who lettered as a freshman and sophomore, began her junior season with the Huskers in 1995-96 but did not play after her sophomore year.

A two-time letterwinner, Haselip earned a role as a part-time starter as a sophomore, appearing in 29 games with seven starts on the season. She averaged 3.3 points and 2.4 rebounds on the year. Haselip scored a season-high 17 points and had five rebounds in a win over InterAmerican in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Dec. 21. She also tied a career high with eight rebounds while adding eight points against Oklahoma on Feb. 4. She pumped in 11 points along with seven rebounds in a win at Arizona State on Jan. 4, while scoring 10 points in a win over Idaho. Haselip played a season-high 28 minutes against Oklahoma State on Jan. 7.

For the season, Haselip shot 36.3 percent from the field. She connected on a trio of three-pointers, while adding nine assists, seven steals and three blocked shots on the year. She was also a member of the Big Eight Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman (1992-93)
Haselip was a contributor in her first season at Nebraska in 1992-93, averaging 2.8 points and 1.4 rebounds while appearing in 30 games as a power forward for the Huskers. She connected on 50 percent of her field goal attempts, while knocking down 3-of-13 three-pointers.

She scored a career-high 18 points in Nebraska's 123-62 win over Howard in the opening game of the CableVision Classic on Dec. 11, when she hit 8-of-9 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 three-pointers. She added a career-high 11 steals against Howard. Haselip also established a career high with eight rebounds against Iowa State in the first round of the Big Eight Tournament.

High School
Haselip was a volleyball, track and basketball standout at Oregon City High School in Oregon City, Ore. She was named the Oregon 4A Player of the Year as a senior after leading her team to the state basketball title. She averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game as a senior to earn first-team all-state and all-conference honors for the second straight season.

She also won the state discus title with a throw of 140 feet, which ranked among the nation's top 20 in 1992.

Along with her success in competition, Haselip stood out in the classroom by posting a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while ranking No. 1 in her graduating class.

Personal
The daughter of Charles and Rhonda Haselip, Dina was born June 2, 1974, in Klamath Falls, Ore. She has one brother, Dwayne. She majored in management at Nebraska. She chose Nebraska over San Francisco, Idaho State and Boise State.
