Anna Weigandt won the women's triple jump, posting a leap of 41-3 ¼ (12.58) to take the event title for the Huskers. Annie Jackson finished second in the women's shot put, posting a throw of 52-10 ¾ (16.12), while Chad Wright finished third in the men's shot put as he notched a mark of 60-5 (18.41).
Oladapo Akinmoladun won the men's 60 meter hurdles with a time of 7.81. He recorded the top time in the preliminary, with a personal-best mark of 7.74. That time moves him to 10th in the nation in the event and is third all-time at Nebraska.
London Hawk finished third in the men's 800 meters, finishing with a personal-best time of 1:51.19. Levi Gipson took eighth with a time of 1:53.68, while Alney Tobias was ninth with a time of 1:54.07.
Meanwhile, competition continued at Notre Dame at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Jessica Furlan finished fifth in the women's mile as she recorded a personal-best time of 4:38.63. Her mark is second on NU's all-time list and is 26th in the nation.
Shawnice Williams finished with a personal-best time of 2:09.31 in the women's 800 meters. On the men's side, Tommy Brinn recorded a time of 1:50.37, while Cody Rush posted a time of 1:57.14.
The Huskers will now wait until the NCAA announces the qualifiers for the national meet. The 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 8-9.
