Twelve Husker wrestlers earned Winter Academic All-Big Ten accolades when the conference announced its honorees on Wednesday, March 26.
All-American Robert Kokesh, a junior from Wagner, S.D., was among the Huskers to make the list. Kokesh, who completed a 37-3 season in 2013-14 by taking fourth place at the NCAA Championships, is an agronomy major at Nebraska.
Seniors Adam Joseph and Shawn Nagel each made the list as well, with Nagel making his third appearance as an Academic All-Big Ten team member. Junior John Svoboda also collected his third award from the conference.
A trio of Huskers made their second appearance on the list. Spencer Johnson, Ian Ousley and Austin Wilson each earned Academic All-Big Ten honors this year after making the list in 2013. Wilson was one of four NCAA qualifiers to make the list, along with Kokesh, Tim Lambert and Jake Sueflohn.
In addition, Aaron Studebaker, Gage Anderson and Eric Coufal were named to the 2014 list.
