East Stadium Expansion
The University of Nebraska plans to expand Memorial Stadium by adding approximately 5,000 new seats, which will include between 2,000 and 2,250 new club seats, approximately 400 to 500 seats within approximately 30 new indoor/outdoor suites, and approximately 2,500 to 2,800 new general seats, including additional seating for disabled patrons. Each new seating area would include dedicated restrooms and concessions areas. A new grand lobby, expanded concourse, and additional first-aid areas would also be added. No current East Stadium seats will be removed and no season ticket holders will be required to relocate their seats as part of this project.
Seating in many of Nebraska's sport venues requires a minimum per seat contribution. Memorial Stadium, sold out for 310 games, requires an annual contribution for any new seat. Gifts given for this purpose assist the athletic department in providing scholarships to student-athletes as well as funding operations, capital improvements and other special projects. For more information, please visit our Tickets Tied to Donations page.
Season tickets are awarded based on these criteria, in order:
2. Annual Per Seat Contributions to the Nebraska Athletic Department through the following clubs: Husker Award Club, Touchdown Club, Husker Beef Club, Cattle Club, Big Red Award Club, Director's Club, or Platinum Club.
3. Priority Points
