Q&A with Janine Weinreich

Janine Weinreich has become one of the most dependable threats in Nebraska's lineup during her time at Nebraska. In September, she became the Nebraska team member to be selected Big Ten Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week and captured the singles title at the Drake Invitational last fall. Weinreich was awarded first team Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2011 and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll three times. Janine hails from Tespe, Germany, and is an international business and marketing major at Nebraska.

Favorite TV show as a kid: Unser Charly (Our Charly)

Favorite sports movie: The Blind Side

Favorite meal: Pizza

Favorite vegetable: Green beans

Favorite workout song: "All I Do is Win"

What you would do with a time machine: See what the future would be like.

Celebrity crush: Shemar Moore

When you're not competing, you like to: Spend time with my friends and family

Superpower you wish you had: Being able to fly

Why you chose Nebraska: It just felt like it would be the perfect place for me to study and play tennis.
