Jolene Emricson is in her 17th season as the athletic trainer for the Nebraska volleyball team in 2018. In her role, she evaluates and treats injuries as well as oversees rehabilitation programs for the Husker volleyball team.
Emricson has been part of head coach John Cook's decorated staff for three NCAA Championship runs: 2006, 2015 and 2017. The Husker volleyball program has captured 10 conference championships in Emricson's time on staff, including seven in the Big 12 Conference and three in the Big Ten Conference.
Before arriving in Lincoln, Emricson spent one year as the athletic trainer for the men’s lacrosse team at the University of Denver, where she also assisted with the men's ice hockey team.
Emricson, who is from Colorado Springs, Colo., earned a bachelor of arts degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in human performance and sport with a concentration in athletic training. While at Metro State, Emricson worked with the women's soccer, women's basketball and baseball programs.
She received her master’s degree in education from the University of Nebraska in May of 2004.
