Lincoln, Neb. - The No. 7 Nebraska women's gymnastics team swept all four events and the all-around competition en route to a 196.700-192.100 win over conference foe Michigan State (0-2, 0-1 Big Ten) on Saturday evening.. The Huskers (1-1, 1-1 Big Ten) were powered by excellent performances on bars and beam in front of 2,165 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

"This is a great team performance and a great team win," Head Coach Dan Kendig said. "I'm most proud that, after two meets, we haven't had any major mistakes. We've got more in us, though, and we're going to keep plugging and working to get to where we want to be."

Junior Emily Wong was tops for the Huskers on Saturday, posting stellar performances on all four events to earn three individual event titles and the all-around title. Wong earned awards on vault (9.90), uneven bars (9.95) and beam (9.925) en route to a 39.650 in all-around competition. Freshman Hollie Blanske also had a breakout performance on floor, posting a 9.90 to earn the floor title for the Big Red.

"Emily had an incredible night," Kendig said. "I'm also proud of Hollie. A few days ago, we weren't sure if she would go tonight, but we're glad she did. She tumbles big and she did great."
