1. Who are you?

I’m a walk on from Northwest Kansas and I followed my close friend, Brook Berringer, who also played here.  We grew up together and he thought I had a shot to play at this level so I took a chance.  Ron Brown recruited me and everything worked out from there.

2. What’s the most significant personal achievement or event that’s happened in your life since you left Nebraska?

Outside of getting married and having two beautiful girls, my most significant achievement was graduating from law school and building my own investment practice with another Nebraska football alum, Tom Smith.

3. What’s the one thing you learned through your student-athlete experience at Nebraska that’s helped you the most?

Not being from here, I learned the adage is true: There Is No Place Like Nebraska.  There are volumes of lessons taken away from the program we had then, many of which transcend football and athletics. The most important lesson learned or rather, reinforced, is that relationships are what allow great things to happen.  Our team and its success is just one example.  A better example would be to have each player evaluate the relationships that evolved from the program and the impact they had personally, professionally and otherwise.  My entire life changed course based on the relationships built at Nebraska and I am very grateful.

4. Wat are you doing now?

I have been building my investment business since graduating from law school.  I live in Omaha with my wife, Kris and two daughters, Jaley and Joslyn.  When I’m not working or spending time with my family, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and golf.
