2007 Season
McKensie Kirchner suffered an injury to her medial collateral ligament before the season, which hampered her throughout her junior campaign. She appeared in two games.

2006 Season

After playing in just eight games in all of her freshman year, Kirchner became a more prominent face in 2006. Overall, she saw playing time in 12 of Nebraska's matches, including her first career start in NU's 1-1 double overtime tie with Wright State on Aug. 25.

After a short absence from the pitch during conference play, Kirchner emerged to take on a pair of top-25 foes, including Texas on Oct. 15, and again against Oklahoma State on Oct. 20. In addition to providing defensive support, Kirchner increased her offensive activity with four shots, including two on goal.  Kirchner also earned the first point of her career in 2006 with an assist in NU's 4-1 win over Drake on Sept. 10.

2005 Season

Kirchner appeared in eight games for the Huskers in her freshman season.  Against Oral Roberts on Oct. 14, Kirchner played a career-high 55 minutes and then logged 13 minutes at Texas. She logged a Big 12 best 15 minutes at Texas Tech on Oct. 30. Kirchner saw her first postseason action when she entered the game late in the second half against Kansas in the Big 12 Tournament.

Against ORU, Kirchner attempted the first two shots of her career, placing each shot on goal.

Although she saw limited playing time in her first year, Kirchner played well when she stepped onto the field and could prove to be a key reserve as the Huskers search for depth at the depleted defender position.

High School
While starring for Millard North, Kirchner was a two-time Omaha World-Herald first-team All-Nebraska pick. She was also a two-time first-team all-state selection. Off the field, Kirchner garnered first-team academic all-state honors and Metro Conference Academic Honor Roll accolades.

Other Information
As a member of the Arsenal Soccer Club, Kirchner played a key role in leading the program to five state cup championships and nine divisional titles.

Personal Information
The daughter of Rob and Deb Kirchner, McKensie was born on Oct. 6, 1987. She has one brother, Michael, 24. McKensie is majoring in international business at Nebraska.
