Nebraska owns the richest CoSIDA Academic All-America history in the nation across all teams and all sports. The Huskers have produced a nation-leading 330 all-time academic All-Americans. In the Big Ten Conference, no other school comes within 100 of the number of Huskers honored in academic All-America history.

The Nebraska women's basketball program has played a major part in the Huskers' rich CoSIDA Academic All-America tradition, including NU's first female member of the prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame, Karen Jennings.
