Football Post-Practice Report (Nov. 5th, 2009)

The Nebraska football team concluded practice preparations for No. 20 Oklahoma with a two-hour workout inside Memorial Stadium on Thursday. Head Coach Bo Pelini said it was a good week of practice, but there are still areas to clean up prior to Saturday night's showdown.

"I thought it was a pretty crisp practice today, but we've still got some things to get ironed out," Pelini said. "We're ready to roll, getting ready to go."

Pelini said the Huskers expect eight or nine recruits to make official visits this weekend in front of one of college football's greatest rivalry games.

"Obviously, with a night game, it allows you to get more guys in," Pelini said. "Because we played a couple 11:30 games in a row, you've got to find weekends where you can get that done."

Senior wide receiver Chris Brooks and sophomore cornerback Alfonzo Dennard are fine and ready to go, according to Pelini.

"No issues, injury-wise," he said.

As for the quarterback position, Pelini is not keen on the idea of alternating quarterbacks during a game, but he would not hesitate to play two quarterbacks in a game.

The Sooners and Huskers kick off at 7 p.m., on Saturday, with television coverage provided by ABC.
