Computer Resources

By NU Athletic Communications

The Dick & Peg Herman Student Life complex has two computer labs. The Scott Technology Center is a state-of-the-art computer lab containing 15 PCs and 21 Mac computers complete with laser printers. The DJ Sokol Enrichment Center is dedicated for study hall use which contains Mac and PC desktops along with a laser printer.  All the lab computers run Microsoft Office and other commonly used programs for academic work.

Student-athletes receive computer lab training during the orientation program and have the benefit of support and education from a full-time computer specialist. The computer specialist keeps the lab updated and maintained and meets the technology needs of student-athletes. Student-athletes have access to the internet as well as the several other resources including the UNL library.

Every current and incoming Student-Athlete is provided an Apple MacBook Air for their academic use.  Technical support for these laptop is provided as well as assistance meeting individual student needs such as specialized software for courses of study.

Nebraska's computer resources combined with computer instruction and supervision have contributed to enhanced student efficiency and performance.
