Senior (2012-13)
Andre Stenger brings a big game to the court as one of the top doubles players on the team. Stenger was instrumental in helping Nebraska NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011. He has ranked as high as No. 21 in the nationally with Eric Sock in the fall of 2012 in doubles play.

Junior (2011-12)
Stenger was a regular in the Husker lineup as a junior, compiling a 12-22 singles record playing primarily out of the No. 3 and No. 4 spots. He posted a stellar 21-10 doubles record, playing a majority of his matches at the No. 2 spot with Robert Schulze. The duo opened the spring season with six straight doubles victories. In the fall campaign he recorded a 4-5 singles record and a 6-2 doubles record.       

Sophomore (2010-11)
Stenger earned All-Big 12 honors in doubles play, while also finishing his sophomore season with an 11-12 singles record. Stenger played the majority of his matches out of the bottom half of the Husker lineup, posting a 6-6 record at No. 4, and a 4-4 mark at No. 5. In doubles play, Stenger managed an 11-13 record while playing out of all three doubles positions in the lineup. In Big 12 action, Stenger teamed with Christopher Aumueller to go 4-2 at the No. 1 spot on their way to All-Big 12 honors. The teammates were a unanimous selection by the league coaches and finished the season ranked No. 73 nationally.

In the classroom, Stenger earned second-team academic All-Big 12 recognition, while claiming spots on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in both semesters.

Freshman (2009-10)
Stenger produced a 12-12 singles record playing the majority of his matches at the No. 6 spot in Nebraska's lineup. He went 6-7 at the No. 6 spot, but he also saw time at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. Stenger went 4-3 in singles action in Big 12 play. In doubles competition, Stenger posted an 7-17 record.

High School
Stenger attended Tutzing High School in Poecking, Germany, and also competed for TC Ganting tennis club where he became one of the top amateur players in Germany.

Personal
Andre was born on Dec. 5, 1989, in Munich, Germany, and is the son of Haus-Juergen and Silvia Stenger. He has one brother, Julian. Andre is majoring in business administration at Nebraska and earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2012. He claimed second-team academic All-Big 12 honors in 2011, and was a two-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

"I think Andre is going to show more maturity on the court this year," Coach Kerry McDermott said. "He is developing the ability to be mentally strong in all situations."
