Lincoln - Redshirt freshman Josh Ihnen and freshman Michael Klinginsmith were two of 42 Nebraska student-athletes to achieve a 4.0 grade-point average as they led eleven Husker wrestlers on the 2010 Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.

A finance major from Sheldon, Iowa, Ihnen earned a spot on the list for the fourth straight semester, while posting a 4.0 GPA for the second time in his career. On the wrestling mat, the first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection qualified for the 2010 NCAA Championships and came up one match short of All-America status. He finished the season with a 19-15 record as Nebraska's 184-pound starter.

Klinginsmith, a biological sciences major from Kearney, Neb., claimed his second straight Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll accolade to give the NU wrestling team two perfect GPA's. The 157-pound freshman redshirted the 2009-10 season but competed in seven open tournaments, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Quality Hotel Open in Hastings on Jan. 9.

Two of the most successful wrestlers in program history also received a spot on the honor roll, as All-Americans Craig Brester and Stephen Dwyer reached the necessary 3.0 grade-point average. Brester, who graduated in May 2010, finishes his career with seven honor roll awards, while Dwyer earned his fifth. He is on track to receive a degree in December 2010.

The fourth NCAA qualifier on the list, sophomore Tucker Lane was awarded for the sixth consecutive semester. Nebraska's heavyweight is one of five 2009-10 starters on the list, rounded out by junior James Nakashima (165). Classmate Alex Ward added the honor as well.

Two other redshirt freshman were on the honor roll in addition to Ihnen, as Hadley Cooksley and Ross Grande met the requirements, while Scott Kwiatkowski marked the second true freshman on the list.

A total of 328 Nebraska student-athletes across all 23 varsity sports claimed spots on the 2010 Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.
