Dr. Justin Harris is the newest addition to Nebraska's team of orthopaedists. A member of the staff at Nebraska Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, PC, Harris was born and raised in Alliance, Neb., and completed his undergraduate work at UNL in 1997, before earning his doctor of medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2002.
Harris completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., in 2007, before completing a year-long fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Wisconsin. He assisted in the care of Badger student-athletes during his stay at Wisconsin.
Harris specializes in the treatment of sports injuries in addition to shoulder, knee, hip, elbow and ankle problems. Harris has authored many articles and textbook chapters on knee ligament injuries and serves as an associate master instructor for arthroscopy training courses for resident surgeons.
Justin and his wife, Kirsten, have a son, Jake, and a daughter, Lucy.
