As a member of the staff at Nebraska Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, PC, Harris joined Nebraska’s team of orthopaedists in 2009. Harris was born and raised in Alliance, Nebraska and completed his undergraduate work at UNL before earning his doctor of medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Harris completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania in 2007 before completing a year-long fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Wisconsin. During his time at Wisconsin, Harris assisted in the care of Badger student-athletes.
Harris specializes in the treatment of sports injuries in addition to shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, and ankle problems. Harris has authored many articles and textbook chapters on knee ligament injuries and serves as an associate master instructor for arthroscopy training courses for resident surgeons. Harris is Board Certified in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and holds sub-specialty board certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) in Sports Medicine.
