Former Nebraska women's basketball All-American Kelsey Griffin will be making two trips to the Midwest as a member of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun over the next three weeks, offering Husker fans their best opportunities to watch Griffin in person during her rookie season.
Griffin, the 2010 Big 12 Player of the Year, makes her first trip to the Midwest when the Sun battle the Minnesota Lynx at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m.
Members of the Fastbreakers Nebraska Women's Basketball Booster Club planned a bus trip to journey to the Twin Cities to support Griffin, who is expected to have many family and friends from both Minnesota and her homestate of Alaska at the game.
Griffin returns to the Midwest on Friday, Aug. 20, when the Sun collide with the Chicago Sky at Allstate Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Griffin entered Friday night's clash with Atlanta averaging 5.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest in nearly 20 minutes per contest. She has scored in double figures five times, including a 10-point, seven-rebound effort against the Los Angeles Sparks on July 24.
