Two Nebraska Recruits Sign National Letters of Intent

Lincoln- Coach Bill Straub and the Nebraska bowling team have signed two decorated prep bowlers to Nebraska.

Rebecca Ann Pratt (Lansingburgh) is from Troy, NY and has been the captain of the Lansingburgh bowling squad for the last two years. Pratt has bowled a 300-game and was named as one of Bowling Journal's Top-30 Prospects in both 2009 and 2010.

Pratt averaged 209 during her last season and has a high-series of 752 in her career. She also set the New York State Athletic Association all-star team record with her high series.

"We are thrilled that she is joining Nebraska bowling," Straub said. "We believe she will have a successful career here. She has certainly done well in the classroom. Her future both athletically and academically has all kinds of potential."

Lizabeth Rae Kuhlkin (Schalmont) is from Schenectady, NY and last year had an average of 230. Kuhlkin is also is the owner of an 835 series. She set the all-time record at the Section II Class B girl's bowling championships with her 1,434 series. Kuhlkin also claimed Class B's high-series with 748 at the state championships.

"I think she has a really good chance to help us immediately," Straub said. "She is also excellent in the classroom. She has a long track record of success and will be a help to Husker bowling immediately."
