Nebraska freshman Emily Cady scored 32 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead six Huskers in double figures in a 102-33 victory over Ullern BBC in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday.
Cady, a 6-2 incoming freshman forward from Seward, Neb., pitched in a pair of blocks and two steals to lead the young Huskers in their second game of a four-game trip to Scandinavia.
Sophomore Jordan Hooper, a 6-2 forward from Alliance, Neb., added a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while 6-3 sophomore center Adrianna Maurer pitched in 13 points and six boards.
Redshirt freshman guard Rebecca Woodberry joined Hooper with a double-double of her own by contributing 10 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman guard Brandi Jeffery contributed 10 points, four rebounds and five steals against Ullern.
Freshman Hailie Sample pitched in seven points, five rebounds and a pair of steals, while freshman guard Tear'a Laudermill added three points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Nebraska's two most experienced players, senior guard Kaitlyn Burke and junior point guard Lindsey Moore, left the scoring to the younger Huskers on Wednesday in Oslo. Moore, an honorable-mention All-Big 12 pick as a sophomore, managed just three points but dished out 13 assists while adding five defensive rebounds and a pair of steals.
Burke, a 5-7 guard from North Vancouver, British Columbia, went scoreless for the second straight game in Europe, but distributed five assists, while adding five steals for the Huskers.
Junior forward Meghin Williams produced two points and four rebounds, while redshirt freshman forward Katie Simon rounded out the scoring for the Huskers with two points and five rebounds.
Nebraska is scheduled to play its third game on its European Tour on Saturday, Aug. 13, against Horsholm, before concluding the trip against the Danish National Team on Sunday, Aug. 14.
