Doug Pellatz has served as an assistant academic counselor at Nebraska since the fall of 2011, after joining the Nebraska academic staff as a tutor of math and meteorology in the fall of 2009.
Pellatz is a 2007 graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary sciences emphasizing on atmospheric sciences. At the School of Mines, Pellatz was heavily involved in the leadership of his fraternity, Alpha Chi Sigma and the school’s student activities board.
While at Nebraska, Pellatz has pursued a master’s degree in meteorology/climatology and served as a teaching assistant during the 2010-11 school year for the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department. He was also part of the leadership of the department-affiliated storm chasing team.
