2015 • Senior Season
Jennifer Lauer maintained her role as one of NU’s most talented beam workers in her final season with the Huskers. After sitting out the majority of last season due to injury, Lauer competed as a three-event specialist while competing on beam in every meet of the season.

On beam, Lauer posted a score of 9.90 or higher four times over the course of the season. She tabbed a season-high 9.925 on the event against Minnesota on Feb. 14 to tie for the title, where she captured Big Ten event-specialist-of-the-week honors for her performance. On bars, Lauer earned a season best 9.85 on Senior Night against Oregon State at home.

Lauer also began to see action in Nebraska’s floor lineup in the latter half of the season and into the postseason. The Sioux City, Iowa, native scored a season best 9.875 at the NCAA Championships team semifinals, closing out her decorated Husker career.

A standout in the classroom, Lauer was named to the first-ever Nebraska Outstanding Scholar class for maintaining a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher. A Big Ten Distinguished Scholar for the third consecutive year, Lauer also shared a prestigious Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship with her twin sister, Amanda.

2014 • Junior Season
Lauer kicked off her junior campaign in stellar form before falling to injury after only five meets. Prior to her injury, Lauer captured five beam titles in five appearances on the event, highlighted by her performance at Penn State, where she earned Big Ten

Event-Specialist-of-the-Week after taking her fifth beam crown with a score of 9.925.
She earned career-high marks of 9.90 on bars against Minnesota and 9.825 twice on floor during her short season. Lauer was ranked in the nation’s top-15 on beam for five straight weeks in 2014. She also took home her second Academic All-Big Ten honor for her work in the classroom.

2013 • Sophomore Season
Jennifer Lauer secured her spot as one of Nebraska’s top beam workers in her second year at Nebraska. Lauer opened the 2013 season with a splash on the road at Michigan, posting the nation’s top beam score with a 9.95. She would go on to earn nine scores of 9.85 or higher throughout the season while capturing a team-best five titles on the event.

Lauer appeared in the national rankings on beam several times throughout the season and ended the year at 22nd nationally, boasting a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 9.880.

Lauer put in another stellar performance on beam at the Big Ten Championships, earning a share of the conference title with her 9.90 performance. Already a first-team All-Big Ten selection, she also took home All-Big Ten Championship Team honors for her efforts at the meet. The following week, Lauer took home her first career academic All-Big Ten award for her work in the classroom.

2012 • Freshman Season
Lauer provided Nebraska with solid depth on three events throughout her freshman campaign, seeing action on vault, beam and floor. Lauer's consistency enabled her to be called up to compete for the Huskers at the NCAA Salt Lake City Regional on vault (9.850), beam (9.800) and floor (9.725). She also competed in her first NCAA Semifinal for the Big Red on March 20, finishing with a score of 9.825.

Lauer also had a strong first season with the Huskers in the classroom, earning individual NACGC/W Scholastic All-America honors.

Before Nebraska
Lauer competed for coaches Mike Durante and Stephanie Kelly at Premiere Gymnastics in Omaha, Neb. Lauer was a four-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier and finished 29th at the 2011 JO meet. In the 2011 Region IV meet, Lauer finished fourth (37.175) in the all-around and posted the best vault (9.6) and bars (9.4) scores. Lauer was the 2010 Nebraska bars, floor and all-around state champion. At the 2010 JO National Championships, Lauer placed fifth on bars and took 21st on beam. At 2010 Regionals she took fourth in the all-around. In 2009, she won the all-around and bars titles at the Regional Championships.

Jennifer Lauer was born on March 30, 1993, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Lauer is the daughter of Dan and Kim Lauer, and has a twin sister, Amanda, who is also on the team. Lauer majored in nutrition science and earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2015. She claimed academic All-Big Ten honors, while also being named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2013, 2014 and 2015. She is a seven-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
