Lincoln, Neb. - The No. 27 Nebraska women's tennis team posted a dominant performance on Sunday, powering to a 7-0 win over the Colorado State Rams at the Nebraska Tennis Center. The Huskers (9-1) swept doubles play en route to victory over the Rams (2-6), marking the seventh time this season Nebraska has won all three doubles matches in a dual match. NU has now logged 29 doubles wins this spring while notching only one loss.

Jennifer Holmberg and Janine Weinreich (NU) picked up the first doubles win on the morning for the Huskers, rolling past Ernese Kardhordo and Lauren Mulhern (CSU), 8-0 on the No. 2 doubles court.

Madeline Geibert and Stefanie Weinstein (NU) were next to strike, downing Tori Arneson and Kaley Schultz (CSU) in No. 1 doubles, 8-1. The win allows the No. 22 ranked duo of Geibert and Weinstein to remain undefeated in doubles this spring, rising to 10-0 in 2012.

Nebraska completed the doubles sweep on the No. 3 court, where Maike Zeppernick and Izabella Zgierska (NU) handed Adriana Wojakowska and Veronika Wojakowska (CSU) an 8-3 loss.

The Huskers lost no momentum on the singles courts, with all of Nebraska's competitors defeating their opponents in straight sets. Weatherholt struck first, sweeping the Rams' Arneson, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 position. She was quickly followed by Holmberg, who posted an identical 6-0, 6-0 victory over Adriana Wojakowska in No. 6 singles.

Patricia Veresova (NU) clinched the win for Nebraska, capturing the match's fourth point with her 6-0, 6-1 win over Mulhern in No. 2 singles. Weinreich pushed NU's lead to 5-0 as she snagged a solid 6-1, 6-3 victory over Colorado State's Schultz on the No. 4 singles court.

The last two matches saw a pair of intense set that NU was able to come out on top in. Nebraska's Zgierska showed a great deal of determination in her No. 5 singles match against Kardhordo. After Kardhordo leapt out to a 4-0 lead in the first set, Zgierska battled back, rattling off seven consecutive points to take a 7-5 win. She used the momentum to cruise in the second set, eventually notching a 7-5, 6-0 win.

Madeleine Geibert wrapped up the sweep for Nebraska, downing Natalie Heffron (CSU) 6-2, 7-5 in No. 3 singles. Geibert and Heffron's second set was a back-and-forth affair, but Geibert's focus would win out for NU as she secured the Huskers' final victory on the day.

The Huskers have a busy week ahead, hosting three matches in seven days in Lincoln. NU will welcome former Big 12 Conference foe Kansas State on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Nebraska Tennis Center before playing a pair of matches during the weekend. The Huskers will face Saint Louis on Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on Colorado on Sunday at noon. All matches will have free live stats available at
