Greg Sharpe

Greg Sharpe is a familiar voice to Husker fans around the country. Sharpe handles play-by-play duties for Husker Football and Husker Baseball and is the host of the weekly N’Side Nebraska Show.

Sharpe was voted twice as the Kansas Sportscaster of the Year while the voice of the K-State Wildcats from 1996-2002. Greg and his wife, Amy, reside in Lincoln with their three daughters.

Lane Grindle

Since his start in 2005, Lane Grindle has been an intricate part of the broadcast team. Grindle is play-by-play announcer of Husker Baseball and sideline reporter for Husker Football, and he contributes to the Buy or Sell segments on the N’Side Nebraska Show.

Before his time at Nebraska, Grindle spent three years calling play-by-play at the University of South Dakota. Grindle is a native of Hastings, Iowa and currently resides in Lincoln with his wife Ali and two daughters.

Steve Taylor

Steve contributes in the Buy or Sell segments of the N’Side Nebraska Show. Taylor was a two-year starter at quarterback for the Huskers in 1987 and 1988.

He was a first team All-Big 8 and third team All-American performer in 1987. In his senior year in 1988, Taylor again received first team All-Big 8 honors. He finished his Husker career 2,815 passing yards and 30 touchdown passes. He also rushed for 2,125 yards and 32 touchdowns during his career.

Matt Davison

Matt Davison is the color analyst for Husker Football and Men’s Basketball. He contributes to the Buy or Sell segments on the N’Side Nebraska Show.

Davison was a member of the 1997 National Championship Football team and is best known for his freshman “Miracle Catch” in Missouri to win the game. A native of Tecumseh, Davison graduated from UNL in 2000 with a Communications Degree.

John Baylor

John assists with the weekly volleyball segment on the N’Side Nebraska Show. Baylor also enters his 19th year as the voice of the Nebraska volleyball program and brings his high-energy broadcasts throughout the state.

He has covered all three of the Huskers’ national title seasons. Along with his broadcasting work, John works extensively with his company, John Baylor Test Prep, where he helps to prepare students for the SAT and ACT.

Kent Pavelka

Kent Pavelka returns behind the microphone to handle his 25th overall season calling Husker hoops in the 2012-13 season. Pavelka previously called Nebraska basketball for two long stints between 1974 and 1996 before returning to the Husker basketball play-by-play chair before the 2006-07 season.

A six-time winner of the Nebraska Sportscaster-of-the-Year Award, Pavelka also handled color analyst duties on NU football broadcasts from 1974 to 1983, and was the play-by-play announcer from 1983 to 1996. Pavelka was honored in January 2009 with the Bud Cuca Special Merit Award given by the Nebraska Basketball Hall of Fame for his contributions to the NU men’s basketball program.

Jeff Griesch

Jeff Griesch assists with the N’Side Nebraska Show’s women’s basketball segment. Griesch has served as the director of media relations operations at Nebraska since 2004. Griesch works as the primary media contact for the Nebraska women's basketball and women's golf programs and coordinates student assignments for NU's sports.

Griesch will enter his 14th season as a radio color commentator for Nebraska women's basketball and his 11th season as the host of the Nebraska Women's Basketball Show with Coach Connie Yori in 2012-13.
