Jim Rose joined the Nebraska Athletic Development office in 2012 after a long tenure with IMG-Husker Sports Marketing.
Since his arrival, Rose's efforts have led to major gifts to the Nebraska Athletic Performance Laboratory (NAPL), the Nebraska Life Skills Center and the future soccer and tennis complex.
He is best known to Nebraskans for his years on the Husker Radio Network as a talk show host, play-by-play announcer and game day commentator from 1993 to 1999 and from 2002 to 2008 as the play-by-play voice of Husker football and baseball. In between, he served two years in Kansas City as a talk show host and commentator on the Kansas City Royals Radio Network.
At IMG, Rose also became one of the top college sports marketing revenue producers by building winning partnerships for such large brands as Cabela’s, Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing, CenturyLink, the Nebraska Lottery, Dodge, Jensen Tire and Auto, and Mutual of Omaha
A Lincoln native and graduate of Southeast High School, Jim earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Nebraska. His wife, Jana, earned her juris doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. The couple has a son, Jackson, and a daughter, Alexis.
