2016 (Senior)
Madison McConkey found balance in her final season as a Husker, competing on three events during her senior year. She was the lead off competitor on balance beam in 13 of the 14 meets throughout the season and saw action on uneven bars and floor exercise numerous times in 2016.

McConkey was able to set career-highs on all three events as a senior. At the first home meet against Rutgers, McConkey produced a career-high 9.80 on the uneven bars. She hit a career-high 9.85 on balance beam at Nebraska’s annual Masters Classic. On senior night against Utah State, McConkey shined on floor exercise, scoring a career-high 9.80.

At the NCAA Championships, McConkey’s mental toughness and leadership helped the Huskers to an eighth-place finish. As a lead-off performer on balance beam she was able to hit a 9.7125 to help the total score.

A standout in the classroom, McConkey earned academic All-Big Ten honors for the third time. She was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete in the fall and spring semesters, and she earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2016.

2015 (Junior)
McConkey provided important depth for the Huskers in her junior campaign. As a three-event specialist, McConkey saw action against Lindenwood, earning season-high marks on all three events. She also earned an exhibition spot on beam twice, preparing to break into the lineups as a senior.

She continued her strong work in the classroom and the community, earning academic All-Big Ten honors for a second time, while being named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll both semesters. She also earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2015.

2014 (Sophomore)
McConkey provided much-needed depth to the Huskers’ roster in 2014. The sophomore became a bars specialist and made her debut on the event against Michigan. McConkey picked up her season-high mark of 9.70 against Arkansas in the last home meet of the season.

A business administration major, she earned her first academic All-Big Ten honor and claimed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2013-14.
