The fifth annual World's Largest Softball Tailgate is set for Saturday, April 22 against the Illinois Fighting Illini. The tailgate is a completely free event, including admission into the softball game!
The Tailgate includes:

- Free Autographs from the Husker Softball Team

In 2016, Nebraska set a record with 2,302 fans who saw the Huskers take on the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines. Help us break that record on April 22 and come out and support your Nebraska softball team as it takes on Illinois!
TAILGATE V - APRIL 22, 2017 VS. Illinois
Nebraska 3, Illinois 5 // Attendance: 1,673
A combination of defensive miscues and lack of timely hitting spoiled any chance of an upset for the Nebraska softball team in a 5-3 loss to No. 25 Illinois on Saturday in front of 1,673 fans at Bowlin Stadium. Nebraska's offense was just 3-for-18 with runners on base and 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Junior Kaylan Jablonski produced the Huskers' only hit with a runner in scoring position in the game, a two-run single that gave Nebraska a 3-2 first-inning lead. Jablonski finished 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs, and she also tossed a complete game in the circle, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits.
TAILGATE IV - APRIL 9, 2016 VS. Michigan

No. 1 Michigan scored a pair of runs in its first and final at bat to even its three-game series at Nebraska with a 4-1 victory over the Huskers in front of a school-record 2,302 fans at Bowlin Stadium. Nebraska set a record for the World's Largest Softball Tailgate, and the Huskers trailed 2-1 heading into the final inning, before a two-run homer from Sierra Lawrence gave Michigan some cushion in the top of the seventh inning.
Tailgate III - april 19, 2014 vs. ohio state
Nebraska SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER FROM OHIO STATE // Attendance: 2,204
No. 19 Nebraska won its sixth and seventh straight conference games by sweeping a doubleheader from Ohio State. The Huskers posted 8-0 run-rule victories in both games, as NU outscored the Buckeyes 30-1 in sweeping the three-game series.
The Huskers set a new record for the World's Largest Softball Tailgate in 2014, drawing the largest crowd in school history with 2,204 fans attending the event, eclipsing the record 1,840 fans to the event who attended the 2013 event.
Tailgate II - April 27, 2013 vs. #9 Michigan
Nebraska 3, Michigan 5 // Attendance: 1,840
Ninth-ranked Michigan scored four times in the topof the seventh inning to rally for a 5-3 victory over No. 16 Nebraska on Saturday afternoon in front of 1,840 fans at Bowlin Stadium, the third-largest crowd in stadium history.
The Huskers set a new record for the World's Largest Softball Tailgate on Saturday, drawing 1,840 fans to the event, surpassing the record set at Bowlin the year before when the Huskers set the record with 1,752 fans.
Tailgate I - May 5, 2012 vs. Wisconsin
Nebraska 4, Wisconsin 1 // Attendance: 1,752
The Nebraska softball team earned a third-place finish in the final Big Ten Conference standings with a 4-1 victory over Wisconsin in front of the third-largest crowd in school history on Saturday at Bowlin Stadium.
The Huskers set a new record for the World's Largest Softball Tailgate on Saturday, drawing 1,752 fans to the event. Illinois held the record with 1,445 fans in attendance at its 2007 World's Largest Softball Tailgate.
Following the game, Nebraska honored its six seniors playing their final game.
