After battling injuries and illnesses as a freshman, Ashley Lambert erupted to a standout year in her sophomore campaign with the Huskers. She captured her first career second-team All-America honors on floor for her 9.90 performance at the NCAA Championships, placing sixth overall in the second semifinal. A powerful vault and floor competitor, Lambert contributed scores on all four events throughout the season, including appearances in the all-around at the beginning of the year. She vaulted to a 9.80 or better in every meet of the season, never missing a meet in 2015.

Following the season opener, Lambert notched her name in history books as she became the first Husker to record a 10.00 on vault since 2011. Lambert was a member of a historical vault lineup that put together a 49.75 team score to break the school record and claim the No. 1 vault ranking in the country in the first week.

At the Rutgers quad meet Lambert broke yet again another record as she stuck a perfect 10.00 on vault for the second week in a row.
