Senior Wide Receiver Quincy Enunwa
On perimeter blocking mentality
“The mentality came from Coach (Rich) Fisher. Anytime you have some type of incentive to make you play harder you always get pretty positive results. Knowing at the end of the year that you get acknowledged as the best blocker, that’s good enough to make the guys in the room compete. You go up there every week after the game to see how you did during the game and see the points. I think that’s a big factor in why I take so much pride in that. Obviously, we all want to win the game and blocking is a big part of winning the game. The incentives to win that award are pretty high.”

On the different type blocks
“There’s knock-downs, stones. Knockdowns are where you drive somebody out of bounds, where you drive somebody and pancake them. Stone is just a knockout like Kenny (Bell) did in the Big Ten Championship. We have protect-and-attack. So if you’re block helps make a big run. Then we have a blazer, which is a block that goes for a touchdown. Then we have touchdowns and yards after catch.

On his reaction to Kenny Bell’s highlight touchdown
“On film, I just kind of threw my hands up in the air and just watched the rest of the play. I didn’t know what to do honestly. It surprised me more than anyone else because I was standing looking right across from him. It was a spectacular catch, one that you will never see in person again. It’s one of those things that will only happen once in a lifetime.”

On getting Tommy Armstrong Jr. prepared for the road
“Just tell him to keep practicing the way he has been. Obviously, he’s been doing well in games and if you have to change up the way you practice because you are playing someone else, then you haven’t been practicing the right way. You should never have to increase your intensity to play somebody else or play somewhere else. You should practice the same way and you’ll get the same positive results like he’s been getting so far.”

On what he knows about Purdue
“I know they have a good cornerback there, or so I’ve heard. I have to watch the film. We’re going to go out there and play our offense, whether it’s the pass or the run or a combination of the two.”
