Senior Defensive Back Andrew Green
On what Nebraska accomplished during the bye week

“We accomplished the fundamentals of the game, technique and just brushing up on those things. That’s pretty much what we’ve been working on.”

On Stanley Jean-Baptiste’s hit changing the way defensive backs work
“No, we’re still approaching practice the same. There’s no difference really. We’re not really worried about that. I guess we just try to move forward from that. If it happens it happens.”

On Minnesota’s offense
“They’re a pretty good team. Pretty balanced. Good quarterbacks. They can run and pass. We have a test coming up.”

On Minnesota being a team that will make the defensive backs come up in run support
“A little bit of both, as compared to every other game. With a quarterback that can run too, I might have to come up a little bit more.”

On what he remembers from going up to Minnesota a few years ago
“I thought Minnesota was real nice and a real nice stadium.”

On the six-week stretch ahead
“We just need to continue to keep it going. There is no time for breaks. We just need to keep on grinding and it’s that time of the year where our bodies are aching. We just need to take it week-by-week and stay consistent.”

On what he has seen from the younger guys
“I’ve seen a lot of improvement. We’ve experienced a lot and improved a lot on the little things like communicating and learning from our mistakes.”

On the Legends Division being a wide open race
“To be honest, we’re really just worrying about ourselves and take one game at a time. Not trying to worry about more than one opponent. I feel like we are taking that mentality this year more than in the past.”

On what he thinks it will take to win the division
“I’m not sure about that. If that’s what happens, it happens. That’s what we’re shooting for.”

On how quick it took him to adjust to the safety position
“It took me a couple games to learn the little things. I’m learning as I’m going and I’m starting to get the big picture and learn the little things. I have started to feel more comfortable and learn the position, starting to see more things than I used to back there.”

On safety being more fun than corner
“Safeties have more responsibilities on both the run and pass. And your eyes really have to be on point to be successful.”

On Minnesota’s two quarterbacks being similar
“They are pretty much the same split image. Same stats and all that, so there’s pretty much no difference between them.”
