Nebraska sophomore Sean Pille earned Big Ten Athlete of the Week honors on Wednesday for his performances at the Nebraska Invite last weekend.
Pille finished first in the 110-meter hurdles (13.96) and was the top collegiate finisher in the 400-meter hurdles (51.15). Both times were personal bests for the Oakland, Neb., native. The honor marks his first outdoor track weekly award of his career.
The Huskers open competition at the 2014 Big Ten Outdoor Championships on Friday in West Lafayette, Ind.
