1989: Senior Season
In her final season as a Husker, Janelle Frese earned honorable-mention All-Big Eight honors.  Her .275 batting average ranked third on the team.  Frese tallied 46 hits, eight doubles, two triples and two home runs.  In 60 games, she racked up 16 runs scored and drove in 23 runs.  A standout in the classroom, Frese earned second-team GTE Academic All-American, GTE District VII All-Academic and Lee Jeans/Big Eight Academic first-team honors in 1989.

 1988: Junior Season
Last season, Frese hit .226, with 44 hits, including eight doubles and two home runs.  She scored 14 runs and drove in another 19.  She played in 66 games and totalled 195 at-bats.  A standout in the classroom, Frese earned Big Eight Academic Honor Roll selections for the third straight season.

1987: Sophomore Season
Last year, Frese had a .205 batting average, with 31 hits, 14 runs batted in and ranked second on the team with three triples.  She also played in 66 games, accumulating 151 at-bats.  Her performance in the classroom earned her Big Eight Academic Honor Roll honors in 1987.

1986: Freshman Season
Frese earned a starting spot in the outfield last fall, as she was making the transition from catcher to outfield.  Frese played in 31 games and had 48 at-bats during her freshman season.  She notched 14 hits, scored six runs and drove in 10 more.  She produced a .957 fielding percentage, committing four errors and making 86 putouts.
