New Zealand Takes on Team USA Tuesday

Puerto Rico Falls to 0-3; Webster and New Zealand Take on Team USA Tuesday

Lincoln -- While Tai Webster and the New Zealand team prepared for Tuesday’s game with Team USA, former Husker Jorge Brian Diaz was in action Monday at the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Diaz played 16 minutes in a 90-79 loss to Greece, as he grabbed three rebounds but was held scoreless for Puerto Rico, which fell to 0-3 in the Group B, will be off on Tuesday.  Diaz has played in two of three games off the bench and has seven rebounds in 24 minutes of work. Puerto Rico will look for its first win on Wednesday against the Philippines.

New Zealand, looking for its first win in the tournament, takes on the United States tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. (CT) The game will be televised on ESPN2 and also available on the WatchESPN app. Webster is averaging a team-high 2.5 assists per game while chipping in 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
