Eichorst, Riley to Connect with Fans Across Nebraska
Nebraska Head Football Coach Mike Riley and Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst will reach nearly 2,000 Husker fans across the state next week, making a series of public appearances in seven Nebraska cities over four days.
Eichorst and Riley begin their week with an appearance at the Lincoln Rotary on Tuesday, followed by a Wednesday trip to York and Columbus. The duo heads west on Interstate 80 on Thursday, making stops in Kearney, Lexington and North Platte. The four-day tour will conclude on Friday with multiple appearances in the Omaha metro area, including breakfast with the Omaha Chamber of Commerce Business Owner Success Series and Prosper Omaha members, followed by a pep rally and lunch at First National Bank—The Official Bank of Husker Nation.
The tour is the latest outreach to Nebraska fans by Riley and Eichorst. Since taking over as Director of Athletics in January of 2013, Eichorst has made more than 300 appearances around the state and more than 500 total. The appearances next week represent one of Riley’s first opportunities to speak to Husker fans outside of Omaha and Lincoln since taking over as the Huskers’ head coach in December of 2014.
Along the way, Eichorst and Riley will meet with media and visit seven IMG/ Husker Sports Marketing affiliates. Additional athletics department staffers will accompany Riley and Eichorst on the trip and members of the Board of Regents will also attend and host several of the events.
At each stop, 2016 football season ticket information will be available for interested individuals. Limited season tickets for the 2016 season are now available. Fans can join the season ticket request list and receive all the benefits of a Husker season ticket holder through the Seat Yourself process which allows you to choose your seat locations based on open seat availability.
