Student-Athlete Experience Fund

In 2015-2016 the creation of the Student-Athlete Experience Fund took place. Nebraska Athletics works relentlessly to be the national leader in support resources and services for our 600 student-athletes. In August 2014, the NCAA Division I Board of Directors restructured how member institutions and conferences, including the Big Ten, govern themselves. This change in governance has paved the way for Nebraska Athletics to enhance its world-class experiences for student-athletes by making further investments in the area of academic services, life skills, athletic medicine, strength and conditioning, research analytics, nutrition, and dining services.

Having been the leader in these student-athlete focused areas for decades, the development of the Student-Athlete Experience Fund is to demonstrate first hand that all gifts and donations whether philanthropic or tied to tickets, premium seating, and parking, will directly impact the lives of our student-athletes and the need for additional resources to invest in our student-athletes is at the forefront of our mission. Here are a few areas in which donations are allowing us to make strategic investments in our student-athletes and show why "There is no Student-Athlete experience like Nebraska!"

  • MacBook Air laptops
  • Post-eligibility opportunities program
  • Full cost of attendance scholarships
  • Enhanced nutrition: fueling stations and additional meals
  • Nebraska Athletics Performance Laboratory
