Huskers in First Through One Day at UNO Invitational
NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – The Nebraska women’s golf team is in first place in their debut at the UNO Invitational at the ArborLinks golf course through two rounds, with a total score of 591 (301-190).
Three Husker sophomores had a day, with all three sophomores and senior Audrey Judd in the top five individually. Sophomore golfer and top Husker returner Kate Smith sits in second overall with a score of 146 through two rounds (76-70, +2).
Sophomore Haley Thiele returns to action after sitting out last year with an injury and battled for the top spot throughout the day. Going into day two she sits tied for fifth with a combined score of 149 (72-77, +5). Also tied for fifth with a combined score of 149 (76-73, +5), sophomore Annie Sritragul had three birdies on the day.
Senior Audrey Judd is also tied in fifth with a combined score of 149 (78-71, +5). Judd’s score of 71 in the second round is the Huskers first under-par round of the year.
Sophomore Jessica Haraden rounds out the Huskers lineup sitting tied for 13th with a combined score of 153 (78-75, +9).
North Dakota State is behind the Huskers in second place (302-292-594), three strokes behind. North Dakota State’s Natalie Roth sits in first place even at par heading into the third and final round on Saturday.
