MADISON, Wis. – The Nebraska women’s golf team fell to UC Davis 2-3 following to an epic 27-hole match to determine the outcome in the second day of the East & West Match Play Tournament at University Ridge Golf Course on Monday.

Annie Stritragul, a sophomore from Bangkok, Thailand, played UC Davis’ Rei Nakatani to 27 holes before falling short by one stroke on the eventual final hole. The duel lasted through an additional nine holes of all-square scoring. Judd, a senior from Olathe, Kan., defeated Madison Wood, by gaining a steady lead through the first nine holes. By the 14th hole played, Judd was six-up on Wood, and maintained the lead through to victory 6&4.

Haley Thiele came from behind to defeat Yoonhee Kim, who had edged a two-up lead by the sixth hole. Thiele chipped away, leading by as much as three-up and eventually winning 2&1 over Kim.
