NU Geared up for Bayou City Collegiate Classic
PEARLAND, Texas - The Nebraska men's golf team is set to hit the course of Golfcrest Country Club on Monday for its fourth invitational of the season. The Huskers will compete on 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Golfcrest Country Club consists of a par-72, 7,254-yard course that will serve as the host site of the event. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.
Nebraska is coming off The Jackrabbit in Valentine, Neb. where the team golfed for a season-best score of 858, placing ninth overall. The Huskers look to continue to gain momentum heading into the final stretch of the fall season behind a familiar lineup.
Tanner Owen is coming off a career-best score of 210 after finishing tied for 17th overall. Owen led the Husker squad for the first time in his career and hopes to continue to make strides moving forward. Jace Guthmiller will be back in the lineup after tying for 44th overall with a score of 216.
Jackson Wendling returns for his fourth meet of the season following his previous score of 217. Wendling tied for 51st at The Jackrabbit. Cameron Jones is also back in the lineup after placing tied for 65th (223). Daniel Pearson rounds out the lineup, having finished tied for 67th with a score of 224 at the previous event.
