Andrew Strop is in his first season as an assistant football strength coach at Nebraska. Previously, Strop served as a strength coach at Central Florida, Wyoming and Buffalo.
Strop spent the past two seasons as an assistant director of sports performance for football at UCF, under the direction of Zach Duval. With the Knights, Strop helped UCF post the greatest two-year turnaround in college football history. The Knights went from an 0-12 record in 2015 to a perfect 13-0 season in 2017, when UCF was the nation's only undefeated team and finished with a No. 6 national ranking, an American Athletic Conference championship and a Peach Bowl championship. Strop also worked under Duval as a football strength coach at Wyoming in 2014 and 2015. Strop began his career as an assistant strength coach under Duval at the University of Buffalo. With the Bulls, Strop worked with the football and men's basketball teams.
Strop earned his bachelor's degree in allied health science from The College of the Ozarks, and he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
