Huskers Ready for Three-Match Weekend
Lincoln - Following a 19-day break, the Nebraska men's tennis team is set to return to action this weekend with three matches. The first meeting takes place on Friday, Feb. 9, against North Dakota at 5 p.m. On Saturday the Huskers will face Omaha 9:30 a.m. and then UMKC at 7 p.m.
The Huskers are coming off sweeps against South Dakota State and in-state rival Creighton. Junior Toby Boyer also won his first Big Ten Tennis Athlete of the Week award over the break.
North Dakota comes to Lincoln with a 1-0 record and a win against Sacramento State. Omaha will travel down I-80 with a 1-5 record with losses to Big Ten foe Wisconsin, and Creighton and their lone win defeating Saint Louis. UMKC has a 1-3 record with losses to Baylor and Oklahoma State.
The Big Red will conclude a long homestand and then hit the road with a trip to Tucson, Ariz., to face Arizona and Northern Arizona. They also will take a trip to Denver, Colo., to play Denver. Admission to all home matches is free.
