Huskers Unbeaten at Crusader Classic

Richton Park Ill.The top ranked Nebraska bowling team kicked off the Crusader Classic with an undefeated record, beating a pair of ranked teams to go 5-0 with a total pinfall of 4,875 on Friday at Lakewood Bowl.

The Huskers started the day off with a victory over No. 22 Maryville, 1,021-883, before NU defeated Drury by a score of 887-804.

In their next match against Monmouth, the Huskers won a 961-882 victory.

Nebraska finished the day with two consecutive wins over Youngstown State and No. 2 Central Missouri, 1,013-855 and 993-907, respectively.

The Cornhuskers continue play on Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday’s combined results will determine the seeding for Sunday’s bracket-play championship tournament, in which each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches, beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT).
