Husker Trio Honored at GARC Awards
Morgantown, W.Va -- The annual award banquet for the Great America Rifle Conference was held on Friday in Morgantown, W. Va. Three members of the Nebraska rifle team received recognition for their hard work and achievement over the course of this season.
Freshman Emily Cheramie earned a place on the second-team all-conference smallbore team. All-American Dacotah Faught was chosen second-team all-conference air rifle and honorable mention all-conference combined disciplines. Nina Radulovic was named Nebraska’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row.
Kentucky’s Henrik Larsen was named both Shooter of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Elizabeth Gratz (West Virginia) claimed Senior of the Year.
Nebraska earned a fourth-place ranking in the combined GARC team standings, aided by a third-place finish in smallbore. West Virginia earned the top spot by earning first place in both disciplines. Kentucky and Ole Miss took second and third, respectively. Army finished fifth to round out the top five.
