Huskers Battle to 1-1 Draw With Cyclones
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska women’s soccer tied Iowa State 1-1 on Sunday afternoon in the Hawks Championship Center in the opening game of the spring soccer season.
Iowa State jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Brooke Tasker punched in a free ball in the ninth minute. Nebraska responded when Faith Carter scored a header on an assist from Hannah McKinney in the 40th minute. Neither team scored in the second half and the Huskers and Cyclones played to a draw.
Nebraska will continue the spring season on Sunday, March 4 at 3 p.m. against Drake at Hawks Championship Center. Nebraska begins regular-season competition in August. Check Huskers.com for more information.
