Big Ten Announces Men's Hoops TV Schedule
Lincoln – A minimum of 28 Husker basketball games will be televised nationally during the 2018-19 season, as the Big Ten announced television information and start times Thursday afternoon.
All 20 of NU’s Big Ten Conference games will be televised nationally, as the Huskers will make three appearances on the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU), four appearances on FS1 and 13 appearances on Big Ten Network.
Nebraska’s games against Penn State (Jan. 12), at Michigan (Feb. 28) and at Michigan State (March 5) will be carried on the ESPN family of networks. NU will make at four non-conference appearances on ESPN networks, including the ACC/Big Ten Challenge game at Clemson on Nov. 26, the two games in Kansas City as part of the Hall of Fame Classic Powered by ShotTracker and a non-conference game against Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 11)
The Huskers will make at least four national appearances on FS1 in 2018-19, as NU’s Big Ten games at Indiana (Jan. 14), Michigan State (Jan. 17), Ohio State (Jan. 26) and at Penn State (Feb. 19) will be carried on the network.
In all, the Huskers will make at least 16 appearances on BTN in 2018-19, including 13 conference games and non-conference matchups against Creighton (Dec. 8), Oklahoma State (Dec. 16) and Cal State Fullerton (Dec. 22.)
In addition, BTN will also air the first three days of the Big Ten Tournament from the United Center in Chicago with CBS broadcasting the semifinals and finals.
Four games will be streamed on BTN Plus, beginning with the exhibition game against Wayne State on Thursday, Nov. 1. Other games on BTN Plus include matchups against Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 6), Western Illinois (Nov. 24) and Southwest Minnesota State (Dec. 29).
The Start times and TV information for NU’s Gavitt Tipoff Games matchup against Seton Hall will be announced at a later date.
The Huskers return their top four scorers, including All-Big Ten selections James Palmer Jr. and Isaac Copeland Jr., from team that finished 22-11 and tied for fourth in the Big Ten with a 13-5 mark.
